I am done my internship at Bosch

My journey with my dream company finally came to an end. It’s not a happy ending but kind of dramatic but I think it’s still a memorial part of my life.

In this post I will purely talk casually, don’t expect anything valuable for yourself or a well structured post with logical reasoning. This is more about emotions and story-telling.

Non-technical Aspect

Myself

I started my internship at April, that time I still have a thesis to complete, I still live in VNUHCM Dorm A, which is far away from Company Office about 23km. Every weekday during that 2-month period, I took about 4 hours on my motorbike. That is very surprising, people I know can’t believe I can do that. Me too! But I did it, just because everyone needs to start somewhere. And a thousand miles start with a step.

I learned to be bolder, learned to express my ideas better. I believe my journey at Bosch is a wonderful one, even though its dramatic final.

People

My teammates and I share the similar vibe. Everyone has their own personality and the skills are also diverse. Some are very professional and talent, some aren’t. But c’est la vie.

My mentor is a nice person, he is detail-oriented, careful and considerate. Even though I and he share different mindsets and approaches to problems, but I am grateful for having him as my mentor. I only need a soft, kind and supportive mentor like that. I have two leaders, one in C Static Testing, one in Team AI. Both of them are great leaders and high-skilled engineers. I learned a lot from them and always very grateful of my leader in Team AI. He helped me to have a recommend letter and a Certificate from Department Head. Hehe.

My Certificate at Bosch.

Beside what I gained physicially, I am happy that I can expressed my ideas confidently even though I am just an intern, or intern is the most undefeatable force.

Technical Aspect

C Static Testing

I joined a team focusing on Static Testing using Astree. After about 2 months, I start digging in the AI project. It’s like a duality, morning staring at C, afternoon jumping around with Python.

With Static Testing, it’s like staring into the screen forever and detect the bugs from nowhere. Because nobody fixed my part, so I guessed I did it?

After the time reading C, I feel like my love for C++ shift to C :sparkles:. I understand more about pointers, addresses and other shits.

GraphRAG and AI Team

I did a lot of trivia tasks, but maybe my most proud work evolve around something called GraphRAG.

I think I am proud of it. For about 6-month internship, I spent more than 3 months for this thing. I completed the full pipeline and I rate its completion about 90%.

I wrote a lot of posts related to this topic, so I have no reasons to continue say more in this post.

Future?

In the future, I want to have a job related to ML/AI. But my first priority is finishing my learning at university.
